Julia Herrnböck (at)

Julia Herrnböck is a journalist and works at the non-profit editorial office Dossier, based in Vienna. Since 2014, she has been involved in the board of Reporters Without Borders for press freedom in Austria and Eastern Europe. Julia has written for the Standard, Taz, NZZ and the news magazine Der Spiegel, among others, and was host of the podcast series „Ganz offen gesagt". In 2021, she completed her PhD at the University of Vienna on the topic of changing working conditions in investigative journalism. Most recently, she worked at the Salzburger Nachrichten as chief of staff.
