Classifying Humans – A Data Annotation Workshop By KairUs
Netpolitical Evening
Linda Kronman and Andreas Zingerle work together as the artist duo Kairus. Their art explores the use and abuse of technologies by critically examining topics such as cybercrime, vulnerabilities in IoT devices, corporatization of city governance in Smart Cities, electronic waste, and politics of machine vision. Their practice based research is closely intertwined with their artistic production and besides exhibiting artworks at international media art festivals and conferences they publish academic research papers and open access publications to contextualize their artworks to wider discourses such as data privacy & security, creative activism, hacking culture, disruptive art practices, electronic waste and materiality of the internet. After working internationally both in Europe and Asia they are currently based in Graz and have recently been awarded the Outstanding Artist Awards 2022 by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture.
