Lena Schilling is 22 years old, climate activist, author and student of political science. At 17, she became active as part of the "Fridays For Future" movement in Austria. She is a spokesperson for the "Initiative for a Supply Chain Law" and in 2020 founded the "Jugendrat", an independent youth organization that aims to continue the street protest in an organized way.

2021, she registered the Lobau protest camp, which resulted in the longest ecological sit-in in Austria to date. In 2022 she published the book "Radikale Wende" to describe the protest and the protest movements and to formulate their historical relevance.
