Knut Cordsen - History and Future of Activism

13:00 - 14:30 Heimatsaal

Knut Cordsen, born in Kiel in 1972, attended the German School of Journalism in Munich and studied communications, political science and sociology at Ludwig Maximilian University. Since 1997, he has worked in BR's culture department and for other ARD stations - as a literary critic and presenter of the programs "kultur-Welt," "Diwan. Das Büchermagazin" and "Sozusagen!" (Bayern2). In his book "Die Weltverbesserer", published in 2022, he poses the controversial question: "How much activism can our society take?" and in doing so puts the activism of the present - from "Fridays for Future" to Greenpeace at the State Department - into a historical context
