New Yorker Margaret Chardiet, known as Pharmakon, has been considered one of the most important power electronics and industrial acts worldwide for quite some time. She herself describes her music productions as exorcisms. And rightly so, because not only her sounds are cathartic, but also her stage presence is ecstatically confrontational. Their numbers are entirely composed and not improvised, as one is used to in noise concerts. The result is impressive on both a musical and a performative level.
