Also: a video epilogue to the Lockdown Grooves series.

The next edition of Elevate Festival is getting closer and closer and the current opening steps regarding the cultural life allow us to think optimistically towards summer and early August.

We want so send a musical farewell to lockdown and to cultural life in quarantine with Jimi Tenor's Music for Elevators on vinyl postcard and a music video of Kevin Richard Martin's track End Times, created exclusively for the Lockdown Grooves series.

Music for Elevators by Jimi Tenor as vinyl postcard

Jimi Tenor's Music for Elevators, which could be heard inside the Schlossberg Elevator since the last festival edition in March 2020 as a permanent sound installation, is now available as a vinyl postcard for sending musical greetings from Graz.

The 4 exclusively for Elevate Festival as part of Re-Imagine Europe designed tracks by the Finnish musician do not only serve as an acoustic companion for the visitors of the Elevator in the Schlossberg Graz, but can also be ordered at the Elevate-Shop and at Dux Records Store.

Lockdown Grooves: Epilogue

Better known to most of us as the Bug, Kevin Richard Martin has probably been more prolific in recent months than anyone else. He released over ten records since the beginning of the pandemic, some of them on his newly founded label.

As part of the Lockdown Grooves series, Kevin Richard Martin presented his latest two albums on the Ö1 Zeit-Ton radio show. White Light & Red Light were specially conceived for the Lockdown Grooves and were released on his label Intercranical Records the day after the broadcast aired.

Music video for Kevin Richard Marting's track "End Times"

As an outro to our Lockdown Grooves series, a music video by Pedro Maia for the track End Times by Kevin Richard Martin has been created. A soundtrack for long nights in the concrete jungle, with saxophonists soaring into the sky and jazz pulsations rising from the Titanic - Red Light's celluloid vision is sharp as a blade.

Lockdown Grooves is part of Re-Imagine Europe, co-funded by the European Union's Creative Europe programme.

We are looking forward to the 17th edition of Elevate Festival in August 2021

Updates on the programme and the presale of the tickets will be available at the end of June.
